Generator Starting Issue
Project
Concept Generators were called out to a local fish factory in a coastal environment to investigate a generator starting issue, weak batteries were causing the starting issue however we noted that the alternator included a basic class of insulation. The alternator IR were tested and found to be very low and the canopy was found to be heavily corroded. We recommended to the customer that the machine should be protected against the coastal environment. Concept Generators designed and installed the generator inside an IP56 generator room.
Completing the Project
Locating the generator package within a IP56 generator room eliminates costly repairs from exposure to the corrosive environment and ensuring longevity.
