Concept Generators were tasked with the refurbishment of 1 off 500kVA FGW machine that had been onsite with no maintenance for several years. The generator package was removed from site and overhauled and commissioned to the customers requirements before reinstalled on-site.

Completing the Project

This project was straight forward during the removal of the package from site and during the overhaul process. Most of the overhaul work was cosmetic since the machine was neglected onsite for some time. The biggest challenge was reinstalling the 2 x 4c 240mm power cables that were cemented into the ground!

• Alternator overhaul

• Engine service

• Fuel tank clean

• Replace JW heater

• Install alternator ACH

• Replace gland plate

• Replace acoustic insulation

• Replace all hose assemblies

• Replace exhaust silencer

• Paint all pipework

• Replace batteries

• Touch up paint

• Extensive load testing

• Application and rejection tests
